The State Historical Society has a library on the UW-Madison campus and a museum on the Capitol Square. It also operates several historic sites throughout the state including Old World Wisconsin 1.5 miles south of Eagle and about 10 miles from Palmyra. “Old World” features more than 65 historic structures brought from various places in Wisconsin and many costumed guides to show you around. For anyone interested in history, this is an attraction not to be missed. www.oldworldwisconsin.org.
